ART AND WOMEN

Art and Women is a prototype mobile exhibition that showcases women artists throughout history, from Artemisia Gentileschi to Amy Sherald. Initially inspired by Linda Nochlin’s seminal essay Why Have There Been No Great Women Artists, the collection goes into detail about the life of each artist featured and shows some of my favorite works by them.

The exhibition features two main sections, one where you can learn more about various female artists throughout history and one featuring articles about women and their role/history in the art world. The color palette is flexible and supportive of the artwork featured and the site’s design follows suit, emphatic about the artists included.
